clean engine bay?
After this winter my engine bay looks disgustiing so i was wondering, what is the best way to clean a Ep3 or DC5 engine bay, can I power wash it, if so do i have to cover anything up while i do it. or should i just spray the cleaner on and wipe it off.
Don't use Simple Green, it will turn aluminum white and the rubber parts will fade. We use a citrus base cleaner on the engine and then go over it with Poorboy's Spray and Wipe and the plastic and rubber with Poorboy's Natural Look.
Here are some pics of engines we have done:

I just did mine yesterday.
Everything is safe in the engine bay so you have nothing to worry about. I have an aftermarket intake so all I did was cover it with a plastic bag, I then powerwashed everything.
Although pretty much everything in the engine bay is safe from water I didn't over due certain parts i.e. battery and other electrical parts

Yes, for the most part we only use Poorboy's poducts. I mean, we use a good majority of Stoner's as well but Poorboy's has an excelent line of products that we have found to be VERY user friendly and produce amazing results.
