Default 1998 GSR Intake manifold....what goes here. <pic>



the 2 bolt holes right in the middle.

also, i switched my car from OBD-II to OBD-I, so whatever goes there, do i need it or not?

no not what he's holding on to, the two holes in the MIDDLE. i was thinking its some kinda sensor but no clue.

Dude... You already got the answer... That is what connects there... You guys retarted or something?!?!?

The Evap Purge Controll Solenoid conects there, and it has two vacuum hoses - one goes to the evap purge valve, the other goes to the side of the TB (or inlet of IM). It also has a wire clip...

That is the answer...

OBD-1 GS-R manifolds don't have the EVAP purge solenoid there. It's bolted to the throttle body instead.

no on gsr's the cable braket bolts to the tb

on the type-r or skunk 2 they have holes in that location to bolt the braket for the cable

THe OBD-1 EVAP purge solenoid is slightly smaller, so there's plenty of room for it. I was wrong in saying that it was bolted directly to the throttle body. It's still on the manifold, just behind the throttle body.

on an ls thats where the bracket that holds the manifold to the block connects. seems to be in the right sot to be the same but i may be wrong.
