passenger door has stopped working?
so all electrical parts of my passenger door have stopped working.
window,speakers,doorloack,and mirror.
i have checked the main plug that comes from the engine bay into the door and it was unplugged, i got it plugged back up and nothing still works,
any more ideas guys???
i dont want to take it to the dealership but its getting on my damn nerves,

i am not big in electrical stuff......so no i havent checked all of that.
would there be one specific fuse to check if the whole door stopped working?

it doesn't sound like a component failure when everything in the door fails.... and if it is a component failure... that sucks. sounds more like a harness failure. time to get out the handy-dandy DMM and check continuity accross the board on the door's harness, you can see the harness when you open the door and look at the hinge, theres a boot in there that hides the wires.... check to make sure these wires aren't open by using the dmm on a continuity setting. if you're unsure what a dmm is, its a digital multi meter, it tests volts, amps, and resistance in many settings, they cost about 100 bucks for a good one. they're very awesome to have layin around cause electrical work w/o one is damn near impossible. the other thing you can use is a self powered test light, these units cost about 2-3 dollars. the way you use either is hook one end up to the harness clip you talked about earlier, the one going into the door not coming from the car, then the other end to the component itself or the switch if theres a switch, like window/door lock switch, if the light lights up or the dmm beeps, the wires good. then if the whole harness is good, gotta check the other side. for that you'll need a wire diagram probably and you'll need to run the test just the same. oh, forgot an important part, make sure the battery's negative terminal is unplugged when doing this so you dont short your meter or electricuit yourself. another important thing to check for is power for the relays.... do this on a voltage setting of a dmm or a non-selfpowered test light.... battery needs to be pluged back in and hook one side up to power wire and other up to chassis ground. if light lights up or dmm gives a reading somewhere around 12v (10-13v) you have power. if all tests come up good on the wires, its a mass component failure, you'll have to test components, which you can also do with the dmm on a resistance setting, but you'll need the factory spec of resistance.
its easier to explain in person..... and while actually showing you how to use the tools, but good luck.... expect to spend big money for electrical diagnosis

the delaer wants 75bucks to just check for a problem....screw all that
