Default Gauging Interest: 3" V-band DP assemblies.. (A Must for Big HP guys)

I may be able to fabricate a straight 3" DP assembly that should be AC compatible and use a v-band clamp/flange setup for ease of installation and removal..

I'm currently doing mine 1st (which is an SC61) as the guinepig and as of now its going pretty good. I've got pics of the progress, but have yet to post them up..

If everything comes out good, I'll be able to offer you guys these assemblies for about $180 shipped.. You would have to ship me your just your turbine housing so i can MIG weld the flange on it and fabricate the DP to reach the underside of the oil pan.. You would also have to finish the DP from there, i.e. add the flex pipe, 02 bung, and flange..

Currently, I"m only working w/ the Inline Pro manifold, so I probably couldn't make any DP's for the guys runnning LOG manifolds or other types that would fit correctly..

I may be able to do 2.5" vband assemblies also, but I"m still trying to source some tight radius 2.5" bends..

Post up if you may be Interested..

k.. hopefully these pics will show up..

---

What I can do is continue the DP right under the oil pan w/ another section of 3" mandrel bent piping.. From there, you can finish up the DP w/ your own straight 3" pipe sections, flex pipe, o2 bung, and flange..

My pictured mock uses a SC61 63 a.r. 5-bolt turbine, an Inline Pro mani, GSR head/motor, and Teg AC compressor.. You'll have to remove the heat shield that's bolted up to the side of the compressor opposite the pully side in order to clear the DP..

I can also just modify your turbo housing to utilize either 3" or 2.5" vband flanges and couplings.. That will include the 2nd flange, and the vband clamp..

If you're not Running AC and space isn't a concern.. I can fab it up alot easier and quicker..

Let me know what you think ...

The vband looks good. I might have to invest in one.

u should.. its usually a pain in the arss to take off my DP when i had it bolted up the usual way.. now w/ this vband setup, i can take it off in less than a 1/4 of the time especially when you're running AC..

I'd say your not even close to being the right price for the quality of your welding/fabrication. Check cheapturbos v-band kit for $150

You can even buy a turbine housing from turbonetics with a welded on v-band flange for around the same price your selling yours for. And they include a new turbine housing! ! ! lol

You're comments/criticizms are welcome.. But where's the exhaust elbow that will clear the AC comp, and will it even clear the AC comp as pictured?? I doubt it will, so you'd probably have to spend a few dollars more on some custom fab work for material and labor to clear it while still running 3".. Plus, that setup looks like its geared more towards cars w/o AC all together...

I may not have a TIG machine to make beautiful welds, but everybody had to start somewhere.. And some day I will own a TIG machine and be able to make beautiful welds and fab nicer products..

I'm also quite confident in my workmanship.. over the years, i haven't had any of my welded DP's or fabricated products crack or fail on me or on any of my friends cars.. Also, my work may not be the best looking (bling, bling), but it sure does its job, and that's all that should matter, cuz looks aren't gonna get u there any faster..
