What class are you going to be running it?

Stock class, single adjustable Konis
Street Touring, Konis and Spings... Eibach Race Springs... for front drive car not driven on the street, about 400f/600r. If driven on the street, get a ProKit.

My 2 cents.

If your s/n is correct (boosted), you'll be in street mod, which will need the same setup as st above.

How do you get "caught dragging?" When you "autox" will you do it in the same environment you've been "dragging?"

Good and Cheap do not belong in the same sentence when asking about car parts

I would imagine 'caught dragging' means he got busted for racing. Now he wants to turn his attention to a more sanctioned form of racing and scratch his itch at the autox course.

boostedcivichatchbacksi:
And the good cheap suspension you are looking for is the stock one.

I'm just saying, I've heard plenty of people say they're "building their car for autox" when all they ever end up doing with them is understeer into curbs on the street.

That's lesson #1 for some people, gotta start somewhere.

I am now an audiophile, and at one point early on I thought running a cheesy dual 10" box off a $50 amp with no crossover in the back of my 280zx fit the definition of "sounds great".

You live, your learn.

So far he has yet to answer our questions. He sounds like he's super-serious about learning!

AS said before... Good and cheap don't really go with racing. A good and cost effective setup.

Ground controls and Kyb Agx. If you look hard enough you can get the shocks for arround $80(per) (tire rack) and the springs for arround $300. (Ebay)
No its not "cheap" but i ALLWAYS error on the side of (as you asked for "good") Quality.
You can Auto-x on stock suspension..... Auto-x is 90% driver.... You can drive a National winning civic Si and be the slowest one out there.... And the owner can come out and smoke the field and lay down a FTD (Fastest time of day)
If you have the stock suspenion go to a event and learn, ask, and SHUT UP and listen to the OLD guys.... They may know a thing or 2.

Oh yea leave your ego at home

Good luck and have a good time.
