Default jdm headlight question-

Hey guys one of my jdm headlights is sort of 'floggy' looking on the outside, but the other one is fine, so my question is what do you guys recomend to use on the lense?

I am just worried that i would **** it up more by useing some sort of a plastic cleaner on it-

you can use plastic polish with no problems.

From the Meguiars site:

Cutting-edge advancements in Meguiar's exclusive Microscopic Diminishing Abrasive Technology, (MDAT), removes light oxidation, chemical degradation, surface contamination, stains and light surface scratches with ease. In addition, because our microscopic diminishing abrasives breakdown as you use them, PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish is safe on plastic rear windows on convertible tops, aircraft windows, motorcycle fairings, face shields, headlights and taillights, instrument panels, all clear plastic boat surfaces and aquariums. Meguiar's PlastX also contains highly water-resistant polymers. These specialized hi-tech polymers provide long lasting durable protection to keep your clear plastics clear and beautiful longer. PlastX is non-toxic and does not contain any harsh solvents.

I heard that they get dirt trapped under them which scratches the paint

Is the lens scratched or is it fogging up?

If fogging up take the light out remove all bulbs and metal hardware.. Preheat your oven to 300 and put the rack on the lowest level.. When the oven reaches 300 trurn off the oven place a towel on the lower rack and place your ligth assembly on the towel.. Let is cook for 15 min then remove and press the lend back into the frame.. sometimes the sealent is not airtight and moisture gets into the light.. I did this to three celica cars- six lights and there are no longer problems.. ( we went even farther and pulled the lights apart to paint them) It will work if condensation is your problem.. Be sure your light does not touch any part of the oven.. Hope this help..

The one light that they are talking about was taken apart by the wives and they used a screwdriver and bent the assembly.. If no tools are use and just hand power no problems.

I know these are picts of celica not hodas but the concept is the same..

Hope this helps
