Anybody Use an HKS Super Mega Flow Intake?
From what ive heard, HKS is for the rich folks only. Not just in terms of buying the filter but in terms of real deep pockets. They flow very very well but they let in LOTS of dirt which in turns lead to engine damage. Id say either get a K&N filter or opt for the Apexi unit. The Blitz one isnt all that either. Get the Apexi if you want SRI or just get a AEM CAI.
yes i used one on my 93 prelude, and 91 accord! they work quite well .. i dont know about the dirt thing though , if u clean ur filter often this wont happen!! k&n's r good too the only diff is the shape and the smaller mesh size on the k&n,the hks has a spongy type filter to where as the other has a difftype of mesh and im not sure what material the actual filter is made of,but with the k&N it has a lifetime warranty which i cant remeber if the hks does either way more flow more gas more power!!
I was wondering how this would install in a 98 Accord/CL v6. The intake tube of the Mega Flow is round, but the intake tube of the Honda V6 is oval. And does this thing just hang there or something? I emailed HKS, but no reply. Any pics or links would be cool.
