Why Can't You Mix Brands of Springs?
I've been told that it's a bad idea to mix the front & rear springs with different manufacturers. Why would it be bad? Let's say, for instance, you have spring "alpha." You want something stiffer for the rear so you see that spring "beta" drops the car the same amount as spring "alpha," but has a higher spring rate. I personally don't see anything wrong with doing this...since, in essence, you're basically customizing your spring rates just as you would if you bought some custom GC coilovers. Anyone want to tell me a logical reason as to why you can't do this?
Not sure, I am going to run Skunk 2 drag launch springs on the rear of my ITR and use stock ITR springs on the front.
I have a friend using Skunk2 adjustable springs with Tanabe helper springs...

I don't think its a bad idea if you know what you are doing. You're basically just using different spring rates. But keep in mind that when you're buyimg a complete set of springs, the manufactual R&D determine thats the best combo for your car's weight distribution. You of coarse can tailor it to your specific need.
