Default why should I leave the gsr & move on to the type-s??

Hey guys I was thinking about saying bye to the integra and getting a RSX type s. What are the good things about it? (besides it being faster than a gsr) what are some negatives about it? Is there anyone who had an integra and bought an RSX? Please give me some feedback and any experiences...thanks

The interior is the only thing I appreciate on the DC5, it is alot more refined.

What I don't like about this car:
macpherson struts blow, the shifts in the cable transmission do not feel direct and solid as the solid rod. Reflector headlamps do squat compared to projectors.

I find the body styling on the DC2s alot more nicer than the DC5.

If you want something with a more refined interior, 2dr not too expensive, little bit faster, get the RSX.

This is just my opinion, having owned both.

1. Faster then gsr
2. More mod friendly
3. Bigger gains
4. More potential
5. Over 200hp at wheels with a few mods ( i/h/e hondata.
6. Bigger brakes
7. closer gears
8. 6 gears
9. high 14 to low 15 sec car stock.

There will be alot of haters ( mainly older gen integra owners) but you will like it.

Test drive the car and see if you like it. All I can say is I have never had a problem with a gsr to this date.

WHY?!?!?!
Bro, youll save alot of money if you just pick up a TypeS swap, then sell your A3.
My mechanic is about 15 mins from you and can do the swap in 1-2 days for under $1000.

TypeS swap- $3000 avg
K20a3 resale- $2000 avg

If you sell your ep3 youre gonna lose ALOT of money....our cars dont hold their value well.

If nothing is wrong with your dc2, I would stay with it. If you are looking to upgrade, go for the TSX or accord coupe. If I was in your position right now that is what I would do.

Well i have 2 dc2's and we bought the wife a dc5 back in november.

My opinion I remind everyone :
DC2
More agile
nice base for a circuit car
cheaper to build since its been around longer
solid shift
overall more race feel

DC5
Interior is out of this world
Stock leather seats feel like my racing seats in the dc2
Stock suspension has more body roll then stock dc2
Faster, but has crazy wheel hop and if you dont shift at red its slugish into next gear
already has a service bulletin for 3rd gear just to let everyone know, when its cold and doesnt like third, "acura already knows"
Definitly a more classy style than the dc2

Last time I checked APC made a lot more stuff for the DC2 then they did for the DC5. I have seen more rice body kits on the DC2 then the DC5. I myself am more toward the jdm side. If I was in that situation I would go with RSX-S or TSX. Accord coupe is *** and weights a lot.

I have personal experience since I use to own a GSR. Well, I kinda like the new shape to the DC5 than the DC2. Of course it's faster and I like the 6spd. I liked the VTEC in the DC2 better since it started at 4400 rpms rather than a late 5800 rpms on the DC5. I also like the dash on the DC5 better. However, I liked the JDM Recaros I put in my DC2. I don't know, I'm kinda split. I just wanted a newer car I guess.

well...I did test drive a type-s last summer with the ac on and man it was quick. But the thing is all the money to get the S(which is approx. a $13,000 extra)w/ 200hp, couldnt I make my gsr just as fast or even faster for less than $13,00 instead of putting that money into the S, but then again its a new car, practically no miles. *sighs* Probably just keeping the gsr, its just that theres so many damn integras where I live, its soooo annoying. Theres one turbo'd RSX and and just an RSX(not type s) hooked up. But the integras---there all over the freakin place! About 90% of them are LS . he he....

The GSR is a decent car, but it will never be able to meet what a rsx-s can produce in the hp range. In order to get 200 whp on a b18c/5 you need to spend a lot of cash and you will only be around 205 whp NA. With Turbo you can get around 400 with a built motor. All motor with a RSX-S you can reach 205 whp with just I/H/E and hondata. Through in cams, pistons and ITR IM and you will see some nice gains well over 240whp. If you go turbo on the RSX-S you will see insane numbers well over 400 hp. And on the plus side, the RSX is still new and there will be alot more potential coming from the motor.

Well, lets see here......
DC5 is better IMO than the dc2 because just look at the motor. There's sooooooo much more potential. The interior kicks ***, just ditch the factory stereo. I was kinda dissapointed with the bose stereo. (You know what they say, once you go aftermarket you never go back.) The feel of I-VTEC is soooo much more rewarding than VTEC. The exterior is so much more appealing especially when rimmed up and kitted out. But, to be honest, there's 2 things the DC2 has on the DC5. 1) A little better handling, and 2) Less weight. I'd say if you really like your GSR go with a K20A2 motor swap and have the best of both. I say A2 just because the type-R motor is A LOT harder to get and more expensive. A2s are abundant. I would do some research if I were you and compare, drive a DC5S and make an informative decision. Just my thoughts though. Good luck
