You best bet is to get a coustom mandrel bent system for a crx and a oval es or what ever muffler you want. its alot cheaper. check out http://www.kteller.com/store/i...35_38

The GReddy MX. 60mm piping with excellent build quality. Quiet, especially when used with a cat., roars in V-TEC.
Many, many compliments - even from the turbo guys I know.
Have read that the resonator may hit the shift linkage with short shifters on the CRX.

That would be my suggestion too, just because the shop that makes it can adjust lengths wherever they need to so that everything fits correctly.

You know, I've been looking into this as well. It's not as cheap as I thought it'd be, though.


For example:

Kteller.com 2.25" mandrel-bent kit for CRX, mild steel: $185

Aluminized 2.25" Magnaflow muffler, 4"x9": ~$65 (or you can get the Stainless ES from Kteller for $90).

Mild Steel Magnaflow resonator, 2.25" x 22": $65

That right there, with all the Mild Steel or Aluminized parts, comes to $315, not including shipping or the labor to weld it up. How much do you guys think labor would cost at a decent muffler shop to weld it all together?

I probably also need a new cat, and there's a Magnaflow cat that would fit perfect. $99 from Hottexhaust.com. Has anybody heard anything about Magnaflow cats?

Thanks for your guys replies but I am not looking for a custom exhaust (hence the title of this thread). I am basically trying to find out if anyone has actual experience with the combo I have and an AFTERMARKET (not cheap crap) exhaust system such as RS*R, HKS, etc.

B18c, JDM ITR header, OEM ITR catalytic converter.

well i would say the Greddy SP2 its 60mm or 2.25 inch and i heard that its really quiet...i had the SP1 and it sounded almost stock...but i dont know how much longer the header and cat is compared to a stock one...

 

How would you say the sound of the SP2 compares to the RS*R ExMag?

Good point you got me thinking I was saving up to do the coustom mandrel bent 2.5 exhaust but maybe ill start looking at the prices of cat back systems i definately want at least 2.5 though 60mm to small for me

you arent gonna find a system that will bolt up with this combo. from what i remmeber, the stock JDM cat is shorter then the CRX one. and any exhaust designed for the CRX will be made for the stock CRX cat. you will have to simply get the cat modified (lengthened), then you can run any exhaust you want. RS*R is very nice

btw, did you ever get the crossmember issue figured out? let me know about that. PM me or IM me or something.
