Default Cam gear settings

I am going to have my car tuned tomorrow. A set of RS Machines cams has been installed. The internals are stock(Euro-R). Does anyone know how much the cam gears can be adjusted safely?

I have not (and I am not sure if anybody in the US has) heard of 'RS Machines' cams.

Does the cam maker have any info that would help you?

I've heard of those cams here on honda-tech but haven't seen much info on them.

The best and for sure way is to get on a dyno if there is one around you. Otherwise I wouldn't even install the cams.

It's a given that you'll need to do this on a dyno, but...

Advancing or retarding up to 4 degrees is pretty safe. 5 degrees gets sketchy, but usally do-able. Don't adjust much further than this--you might get some interference.

The only way to know for sure would be claying, and since that probably isn't a viable option for you at this stage, I'd stick to something conservative like +/- 5 degrees. I doubt you'd have to venture much outside that range to see maximum power anyway.

Thanks.
I'll tell them to keep it conservative.
I know it has to be tuned. They were installed yesterday, and I am going to the dyno today.
I'll post some results later.
