I want to get my crappy stock fugly antenna out of there ASAP, should I put the S2K antenna on or just seal it off? How much weight do i save with the antenna motor gone?

 

You save like...3-5 pounds. It's not that heavy.

If you don't listen to radio at all, I'd just seal it off.

 

you'll save around 7lb if i remember correctly.... took me about 30 minutes to figure everything out and install my S2K antenna.. definately looks sleek, i love it i got a "kit" for $35 shipped from Chris Blake (b18c510@hotmail.com)

i got that kit from chris blake too....except i installed mines in 20minutes.
that whole antenna motor is close to 5lbs not that heavy

u'll need to connect the wire that gives you the reception for the radio, if u want radio.

or you can save 35 USD and just cut the power antenna wire.

I like the where the Mercury Cougar antenna goes, looks like an RC car. Has anyone ever tried the Cougar antenna?

that antenna is so much nicer than the huge ugly stock one...i listen to the radio alot, like news and what not, does the s2k one use a transistor or capactor to increse the signal strength?
