Default problems with ignition timing after distributer install...

I installed a replacement Hitachi distributer this evening on my F22B1... However, now my powerband is all screwey, no low end power whatsoever... I'm assuming its my ignition timing... so how do I set it back to the OEM ignition timing setting (aside from my cam timing setting)? do i have to use a timing gun? help!

thanks for Honda318dx, I rectified the problem to a certain extent by loosing the distributer bolts and rotating it (the ignition timing was retarded too much)...

At least you can adjust your timing ... on my 97 I believe you can't change the timing.
