guys help!, bodyshop just SCREWED me!
i had purchased a white front lip and rear valances from Radley Acura.. they came in perfect condition...
I took them to a shop, recommended by a friend (who had bodywork for a BMW 328i done there) in my location. They said i needed to bring the paint code and my fuel door to have a perfect match... He explained they would strip the white off, prime it and paint it black. I brought everything and told them i wouldnt pay more than 200$. They agreed, and said they'd call me when its done.. a month later, i call and they're done.. i come to pick them up and get this:
They're sitting there completely covered in dust, on the front lip there are tiny "bubbles" (almost like reverse dents when you feel them), the place where the bumper should touch the lip isnt consitantly smooth, theres ridges everywhere... So i ask the front desk person why are there dents in it and she says "when you put it on the car, bring it here and we'll buff it out for you" so i said "ill take a look at it".
i get home... its black, but it DOES NOT MATCH the car color, its almost grayish compared to it! WTF!! the edge of the rear lip is almost see through.. to WHITE PAINT. i shell out $200 cash for "quality" like this?
guys help me out.. i'm going over there tomorrow morning 8am, and laying some WHOOP-***.. any suggestions fellow honda-techers?
thank you
Alex

As far as the color you got screwed. When they said you had to install it and bring it back to get buffed they were correct. I got my wing back and it had the bubbles and I was pissed. He told me the same thing, install it and bring it back. When I did it came out mint.
black is a hard color to match, they didnt screw you...they probably did a quickie on your lip kit...very common for alot of bodyshops...white also is a hard color to match, even if the paint is right color code, it might not look the same...
