Default auto-x ?

What all eliminates me from running in a stock class? I know bolt ons but what about a full cage? My classic SE-R is completely stock but has a completely Autopower cage in it when I bought it. I'm also determining if I should keep my car fairly stock and stick with a sr20de or go with the DET and run in the upper class?

The cage is legal in stock class. I highly recommend staying in stock for a while. Jumping straight into street mod is a very big jump.

yup, def stay stock and run on street tires. dont try to be competitive right away. try to run as many events as you can and learn as much as you can. seat time is your friend. once you can run well on street tires, then switch to race tires.

From the FAQ of this forum. There is a bunch of info RJ has taken the time to assemble, take advantage of it.

You'll need to stick with an SR20DE to remain in stock class. There are minimal things you can do to the engine, but a swap will bump you out of stock class.

The biggest challenge for new autocrossers is to shift their focus from their car to their driving. Pay most of your attention to learning good technique, and see my signature line.

Good luck and have fun.
