Default Koni Yellows

Hey everyone. I just bought some Koni Yellows and they're coming in soon. I have Skunkworks Coilover sleeves. I know that we need the "Koni Ring Adapter" correct??? If so do I need them for the front and rear, or does only one side need them??? THanks!!!

skunk works is old school

they made 26mm front and rear sway bars as well as other suspension goodies.

i believe thats when they changed their name to skunk2 and it became more main stream.

skunkworks..... wow 6... 7 years ago?

Ya, SkunkWorks is a Military company and forced, who we know now as Skunk2, to change their name.

But as for your question.. You you'' need new caps for the coil-overs. I know ground controll makes a special set just for them.

since after my accident, i'm skeptical about using koni shocks again if i do get another car... i don't really trust the ring to hold up the perches anymore..

after my accident, the rear of my car was slammed all the way to the ground because the ring on the koni shocks broke off making my car ride on the bump stops.

i'm not saying the koni yellows are bad. they ride awesome. I guess i had bad rings or something.

that is not a Koni problem though, that is the responsibility of the sleeve manufacter. I have had all 4 wheels of my Accord off the ground at 75 mph and had no problems, where as my friend went 4 wheels of in a race and his rears slipped twice

after some investigating we found that the cheap sleeves and rings was to be blamed

you don't need anything special. i have this exact same set up for sale. i rode it hard for 4 years. and yes, my box said "skunkworks" when i bought it. i still have the damn sticker! you do need to make sure that you install the koni perch rings CORRECTLY though. otherwise you will be hurting.

the only reason to revalve is if you move up to high spring rates

they say for the amature road racer to rebuild every year

so for a highway car probably every couple of years

rebuild runs about $500 for all four

So here's the deal: If you are going to use skunk2/skunkworks coilover sleeves, u will need to order a "Koni Coilover Ring Adapter". To order this part, call koni, their number can found at http://www.koni-na.com The part is $7, and u'll need 4 of them.
