Default bogging issues with b16

I have a b16 with bogging issues that makes my car backfire at lower rpms and when it gets above 4k rpm or so, the car immediately picks up as if there was no bogging. low or partial throttle keeps the bogging away sometimes but doesnt always work.

Stuff done within the last 5-10k miles
spark plugs
ignition timing

I have no cel, no codes, and both o2's are connected correctly.

any ideas??
I am guessing spark plug wires, fuel filter, and/or bad o2 sensor thats not throwing any codes... can it be anything else? tps?

In which order should I replace parts or?

I think every first gen b16 has this low RPM bogging problem. I had it with my old motor and everything was well maintained and hooked up right just like yours. I have been in other ppl's cars as well and they also had this problem. I dont know what it is, but it seems like something with the block. My friend traded out his first gen bottom end in favor of a c5 bottom end and it all went away. He didnt change anything either, besides just the bottom end.

I dont know though, it could be something different. But so far I havent found anyone that has gotton rid of it.

someone has told me to take off both o2 sensors, I'll get a check engine light, but the car will run richer and probably get rid of my problem... I was told that the 1st gen b16's ecu's go back and forth from rich/lean to lean/rich, hence causing the bogging problem.... so i guess im going to remove my o2 sensors or get a chip(will that work?)

I guess you could always try it, but I even had a Spoon ECU and nothing changed.

I had the same problem and swapped my 02s at the ecu. Bogging went completely away. The distributor seized up two days later though.... I wonder if the bogging could be from the bearing going out or not...??

Did you take c16 out and place into C8 when you first swapped in the b16? Im mad I missed this step..I dont think the PWO guys have to do this.

bogging is usually from not enough or too much fuel and or a weak ignition

bogging can also be from timing
