Default Kumho v710s on ITR

Not sure if this should be in the ITR or Autocross forum, but I'll post it here since this is pretty ITR specific.

Anyone running the new Kumho v710s on their ITR yet? I am wondering how well they fit in the wheel wells. The tires look REALLY wide, I was wondering if I'll need spacers to accomodate them. It appears they may rub like crazy. I run DS so they'd be on 6" wheels.

Thanks

I dont think youd have any problems...of course, Kumho is recalling these so the only problem you might have is them blowing out on you!

Read the RR/Autox forum today.

Not a good time to buy those tires.... looks like lots of trouble at CMP.

Details on the recall and refunds will be in the press release.

The rumor about the SCCA banning the tire is apparently not true as they were in use at the SCCA national at Summit this weekend.

I spoke to some Kumho SCCA competitors this morning and they did not have the same issue (although they werent using the same sizes).

Hopefully it will be sorted out and we can get those fast tires again.

Thanks,
Alex.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Kumho is handling this very well I think. They will replace your set of V710s with your choice of V700s or Victoracers, and THEN will also give you a FREE set of the revised V710s when they are available.

Wow, must be nice.

Why can't all companies be like that?

Chris - who thinks he'll forward this on to some disgruntled people.

Now thats customer service

That kind of service may sway me on my next R compound purchase once the Advans wear out...

Big props to Kumho for handling the issue the way they are. Glad they're on board.
