Interior lights in hatch area
Alright I went to the junkyard and picked up the interior lights for the hatch area. Now I need to know how do I hook them up? Does anyone know the color of the wires that this thing is hooked up to?
I found a 2-p connector like:

But the one out of the hatch that I saw doesn't have a spot to plug it into. So I want to add some connectors and put it on the plug, but which wire goes where?

is the ground to the light and the power should come from the same power wire that goes to the door ajar light in the cluster my book says its the solid yellow wire on the far right plug.going to try this 2morrow but if anyone else can help us it would b appr.

hmm, didn't all hatches have the cargo light? If so wouldn't there already be wiring for it? Well just if you haven't checked yet, take off the right side rear large plastic piece (you gotta take the back seat out too) and look around for some extra wires...uhh good luck i guess, those lights suck anyways.
I found the connector for the light. It is on the right side, under the plastic pc. It was taped up. My question was if I hard wire it, which wires go where. It has a connector on the harness, but theres nothing on the light switch that I got from the junkyard.

the wiring is there!!! In the rear area on the right side of the hatch is a rectangular pc that you can pop out. There is a black taped up harness there, unravel the tape to find the connector. All of them didn't have the light, but they were still wired for it.
Now, anyone know which way the wires go??

I have a 91 base hatch and I installed the rear cargo light shortly after I bought the car. Here is the deal: Make sure that you have a rear cargo light from an 88-91 civic hatchback. I know it sounds stupid, but the 86-89 Integra rear cargo light looks very similar, but the Integra uses two seperate wires with individual connectors on the light. The rear speaker wires on an 88-91 hatchback (yes you have rear speaker wires whether or not your car actually came with them) are seperate with seperate connectors that will fit on the connectors on the Integra light, but they will not power the light. If this is the problem you are having, now you know. A true 88-91 hatchback cargo light will fit with the plug inside the rear panel. Pull off your farthest right side cover for the taillight, find the plug, (The ONLY way it will not be there is if someone before you cut it off!) and feed it through the hole for the light. (After you pop off the light cover.) Plug it up and if the bulb is good, you now have an awesome OEM dim light that really doesn't help you see at night. Yay!!
