Question about Integra Type R Keys...
What do your keys look like? I lost my old Acura key (with Red Acura lettering) and I'm looking to ditch my Wal-Mart key and get a new one..
Are newer 98+ Acura Integra keys all the same? Does anyone have pictures?

I'd probably want to get the key wit the red Acura logo on it. Do Type R keys have a security system feature on it? Or do you think my dealership can just copy it for me?

I know the 00 and 01 R's have the immobilizer in them...don't know about any other acuras...

Well, I don't want a replica Type R key because I don't drive an R. I was hoping that there were newer style keys that I could buy to replace my Wal-Mart key.
Oh well, thanks for all the input, I'll just stop by the local dealership later

yeah, but they still look the same....
No, they don't. The ones with the microchips don't have the round gray head in the photo.

Where can one buy a genuine Acura 98 Type R master key blank, as shown in the post, above?
Do dealers still have them? Mine is looking a bit beat up...

well, that was a copy of one....i actually bought a replica, which doesn't look bad, but it's not exactly the same...
If it cam w/ the car, the dealer should be able to get them, but I guarantee they will charge out the *** for it
the color in the center of the gray portion is wearing down, that's why I bought a replica one, but it's not exact, so....oh well

I have owned a 2000 itr and a 2001 itr.
2000 itr
red Acura symbol
2001 itr
white Acura symbol
The dealership will charge you more than $50 for a replacement key...as it is more labor intensive than just cutting a new key.
