who ever is gonna tune it, must know their **** so you don't detonate, if your planning on running 91 octane then i recomend 12.5 or lower, a 13:1 comp. will be de-tuned so it pulls like a 12.5 anyways.

it can be done with good tuning. i was running 13.5:1 last year and ran it on 93 a few times.

B19CivicHB has 12.7:1 in his JDM GSR and he runs it on 93 daily driver in Ohio. Revs it to 9200 rpms with the built head he's got and the stock timing map is fine. Oh, we did put an MSD SCI on it to further safeguard against detonation, but that's it.

I kno that's not gonna be a daily driver in California thats for sure. 13.1 is possible but not in California.

why would u want to run 13.1 on pump gas on the streets of any city? if you r going to build that kind of motor, then save it for the track. if its lemme run drive around the corner to the store, then maybe. Why would u build a motor and have to detune it just to drive the car? its mind boggling to me that folks want to build these outrageous combos and run pump gas....**shaking head**

just my .02 cents..........good luck bro with that.
