Default Koni Adjustables (internal) - Are they supposed to rebound?

I just bought some new Koni Internally adjustable shocks for my car - One of them rebounds, the other does so at a slower rate and does not rebound fully. It still has considerable resistance when I push down on it, and the guy I bought them from said that this is normal since they are not nitrogen based. I am not convinced, since one does fully rebound, and the other only rebounds half way and is much slower.

Any comments?

how are they adjusted?

if it's close to firm, then it will VERY slowly rebound.

go ahead and push it in all the way, then turn it (you'll feel it click/engage) and make sure they are matching adjustment-wise.

You should lick them.

That will do as much good as pushing on them off the car.

I'll bet Konis are tasty too.

did you check to see if they are set at the same level of adjustment?

That's a disadvantage of twintube gas shocks. Each shock is not guaranteed to have identical rebound/compression properties due to its design. Monotube gas shocks are more likely to have consistent movements.

Sorry for not acknowledging your post earlier. Both shocks are brand new. One, I can adjust easily. The other one (the one that won't rebound), I cannot seem to adjust. It seems "seized" in one setting.

Oh by the way, it's suppose to rebound all the way through. If it doesn't, its defective and send it back to Koni. The ones I have both rebound all the way but not at the same identical rate.

Send it back. I had an "adjuster" seize and sent it back. A friend had some koni issues too, and sent them back.
