honda 87 crx si (help)

just got head out of shop new valves deked cant get it to start . dont know how to time it .had 1@4 pistons up @valves were closed on 1@4 all it does is pop@backfire dont know if plug wires are on right . can any one help before i toast the new head ? thanks catfish

thats the best thing ive read all day!!!

since i believe you had your head off...id guess your cam timing is just so screwed up that it wont run. you probably have the cam way to advanced or retarded...when the crank is at TDC the cam has to be at TDC.
