Default 1-wire vtec hookup vs vtec ecu

I know that the right way is to get an actual vtec ecu because of the fuel and timing maps however i am curious if anyone has any personal experience on how much difference it made when u switched from ghetto 1 wire vtec rigged to a real vtec ecu. or if not even better someone with a dyno sheet.

Well, you can use the VAFC settings to correct the air/fuel ratio after you hit VTEC with the one wire setup. There aren't really any advantages or disadvantes regarding the function of either, however the one wire setup will require much more tuning to run properly.

..... thanks for your responses. but i need some info from the pros.... a PR3 will advance the timing alot more than any VAFC can do with a non-vtec ecu.
