Default Just got me a 97 LS and need help to hook it up!

As you can see, it's all stocks and I got it for $2500 with new brakes, tires and rotors. Now, I need to hook this thing up into a sleeper. This week, I'm planning to spend $700 on it. What would you guys recommend buying with the $700?

Looking for some performance here. And for the tires and rims, that one can stay for later. Hope I can get some good suggestions and makes this car faster and better. Here's how it looks like right now.

Please don't say anything about my tires and rims, as those are one of the last things I'll do.

All right, since I'm a new member, I can't post that much. Only 5 posts per 24 hours. So, I'm going to try and talk from here.

I think I'm going to put an intake and quiet exhaust on first. And my brother is paying for my compustar alarm system, which saves me 300 bucks.

i would say intake and exhaust, as for intake comptech seems to be very good from what i hear here, but u cant go wrong with a AEM either, and for exhaust, since u say sleeper u wont be wanting a fart cannon so i would say APEXi WS II or the GReddy SP, i have the WS and i just love it, very quiet and deep sounding exhaust....

cant really think of anything else to do with 700.......

Actually it only got 90k miles on it. And bought it from a very rich and successful business guy. He was the original owner also, and took really good car of it. Title is clear and everything runs fine. He just need to sell it because he don't want to have 3 cars in his insurance. I saw his garage and it's a 03 IS300 and RX330.

Was very happy to bought it last weekend. Yeah, I'm going to try and get that one of those quiet exhaust. And for price range, might consider which intake is cheaper.

I can stick with the interior for now, and just want to get the performance in first.

$2500 Great deal! I got my 94 LS for $5300 . Anyways back to your question, you can't really make it into a sleeper for only $700 unless you get nitrous.

if you want to do a lil looks maybe clear bumper lights and 98 tails, i would go ahead and start big stuff tho. stock intake....maybe a header(300), test pipe(30), and mid pipe(120). intakes are all sound really unless you have everything else done and are really down to the small stuff for power. plus doesnt go well with the sleeper theme. mabye go ahead and get an aftermarket tb, str is good(300), and skunk 2 intake manifold(200). these are just general numbers to tell myself when to stop. after that stuff advance the timing a couple degrees. next step is either forced induction or buy another b18b head and have a shop give it a serious port job maybe even os valves. get some wild cams and a good valve train. at that point i might consider dropping in a set of itr or ctr pistons. it would make a good na daily driver. forced induction is hard for any1 to tell you a good setup. your setup should be custom to YOUR needs.

Go for internals man. Just save up your money, and get a new camshaft and gears in there. You can do a ton of stuff, its called researching.

I'd say suspension first. Get some good tires, springs, and shocks. Bigger rear sway will help also, and it won't cost too much either.

get the apexi ws exhaust. i have it and love it. also if i were you i would get an ebay intake for 50 bucks with a filter, apexi ws exhaust and a dc sports or greddy header. if you install all of it yourself and find good places on the internet to get the parts from then you should be able to stay in budget.

join team-integra.net and READ the engine performance articles 4x over....seriously. then you'll be able to school anyone you know on integra info...and you'll find out what to do to your car yourself...and do it right so you are a sleeper and not someone with just bolton parts...

what type of racing will you be doing? where do you want your powerband to be? What peak hp do you want?

how about using the engine to move fast instead of cheating and using nos...no pride in it. lol

that would be one hell of a cheap set up that probably wouldn't be worth the money.

H&R Race springs - $150
CAI - $150
Nitrous - $400
= roughly $700

You get performance and looks.

Nitrous isn't cheating. But i would do suspension first. Coilovers and some shocks.

With 700 dollar, A set of Koni yellow(550) Combine with Neuspeed race spring(150). And you have a great suspension that will be more then you need.

Dont waste your money and brand name intake like aem, i dont think you need the carb sticker?. I would go with a short ram from ebay and filer from k&n. I personally wouldnt buy an exhaust, because it wont actually produce any good gain except the noise to gather attention. Turbo is the way to go for Non-Vtec teg, so plan out everything before you actually start buying something.

Ps: I brought a stage 3 clutchmaster and fidanza flywheel, and my dumb ricer friend say im stupid and dont even have an exhuast yet why i buy those ****, I was thinking of taking the flywheel and slap him like rick james, i bet it will cause some serious pain .
