i'm confused
okay, i have spark. i just put in a new fuel pump. car died on way home from dallas last week. put new dizzy in and drove car home. three days, later car dies after going through tollboth. car now in driveway just yearning to start, but it won't. i put in a second dizzy to be sure i did'nt get a bad reman. firing order is correct. cap and rotor new. possibly bad gas? has anyone used seafoam? plan to doublecheck timing tomarrow. i'm stumped.
this is probably really off but..............it might be the ignition switch, the ignition switch went out in my crx and my car just died and wouldn't start back up. check that.....i hope thats it for you, good luck!

Is the fuel accually getting to the injectors? (plugged filter or bad main relay)
Other possibilities to throw out:
timming belt jumped a tooth?
If you have spark at the plugs it shouldn't be anything in the dizzy, so concentrate on fuel and timing.

my boy had a problem like this last week ... all of a sudden his car died so we did some parking lot heart surgery... we tried turn it over and it would kick like it was going to start up but then nothing... so we took the dist. cap off and found out the rotor was lose.... tightened it up a little and bam!!!! started right up. hope this helps
If not yo check the injectors... the might be clogged

i'm a jackass. took off cap and took distributor out and realized that when i swapped dizzies the other night on the side of the road that i had put the rotor on 180 deg. . i did'nt realize that it was threaded all the way through.
