ok guys, this car has been sitting here for ohh 2-3 weeks becaus of this problem, my distributor is not sending out spark,
does anyone know why this could be? it was a good runing motor before the swap, but the last car it was in the wire harness in the car and on engine was all chopped up, please list the possiblilities you think
i dont think the distributor is even getting power

do you know where i can get a wire diagram for my car/ecu on the net?i dont want to go down to honda

was the last car it was in a DX? you need the DX harness on the DX car

 

im about to do a b16 swap in a dx. what has to be done to make a si harness work in that dx civic?

 

you have to re wire the DX harness as if you were going to run MPFI and also re wire were it plugs INTO the distributor....

thats probably why your not getting anything but ***** and giggles from it. also remember once u get that that harness wired right u can use hf/si sub harnesses...

 

ya it was a dx, but the harness is so janky, there are a few plugs that come out by the tranny that i cannot find where they go, it has a msd ignition too, i took that off becaus i thought that might be bad, but i guess im putting it back on
