want to hear a scary story?
hey fellas, whats up, i've just signed up to HT, but ive been researching and browsing for a while now. anyway, good to be here, and ill get to the point.
the story starts off with me buying a mint 99' adriatic blue pearl integra for 10k. im as happy as can be, drive it home and lock it up in the garage until spring break comes so i can get to cleaning it.
monday rolls around and i give in interior a work over, smells like febreeze, mmmm mmmm. by tuesday, i read up on engine detailing on teamintegra.com and head out to my local dollar car wash.
i seal up the distributor, cover the battery, degrease and engine gunk the bitch and get to high pressure sprayin. i let it dry up and drive home, then i start to wash, polish and wax the outside.
when i finish, i start up the car and notice the idle is kind of off, not a problem, just warming up i think to myself. however, the idle condinues to tweak and a snapping noise comes from the exhaust.
"****, did i hydrolock or get water in the block somehow?"
in tears, i open up my stock airbox and see water inside. bawling, i check my airtube and see a trail of dry water leading up to the TB, the TB has this same dry trail of water. i drop to my knees, clench my fists and curse the car gods at the top of my lungs.
i take of my wires, and notice that the runners leading to the plugs are filled with water, so i blow it out with my air compressor. my cylinder 2 wire is torn apart, and my sparkplugs are rusty. i remove the plugs, crank the motor and to my relief find no water exiting the cylinders. by now im pretty sure the messed up wires and rusty plugs are the culprit, so i head to inlinefour in the parts truck and pick up a set of NGK blues and some plugs.
come home, install everything, and all is well. my heart flutters with relief, and i proceed to take a victory lap around the block bumpin some gangsta mars volta up in the joint.

Me too, welcome to H-T. I think that it would hopefully take more water than that. If not, damn, I am glad I got rid of the CAI!

ive seen similar situations.. usually when a small amount of water gets injested, your spark plugs will foul. and if your lucky thats all that will happen. happened to my best friend. changed spark plugs and he was good to go. unfortunately if u take in too much it could spell disaster.. welcome to ht

grammar wise, eh, not too much of a matter for me as long as the point gets accross. not saying grammar isn't important, but HT isn't as formal as my english class at UCLA.
anyway, im not going to ask about altezzas or how to make my LS as fast as a v-tech (notice the sarcasm) on the forum, ive done my homework, just havent found it prudent to register as a member since most of my inquiries have been covered in the archives.
i look foward to having good input into the forum, hoping to learn new things and maybe share some helpful tips and experiences.
to honda-tech.

With only a small amount of water, there should be no problem. You got very lucky. On a side note.....How much were the spark Plugs form Inline4?

actually, i dont remember where i got that from. probably is from f&f, since my friend does some bad *** impressions that will have you rolling.
the plugs were 12 bucks for some NGK v-powers. i was going to shell out the money for the platinums, but according to the clerk (forgot his name, but kudos for being real helpful) its not worth spending the extra money for LS plugs.
correct me if im wrong though, should i have gotten platinums? (ill keep it in mind for the next tune up)

Right you are. I got my NGK V Power plugs for about 8 dollars at Kragen Auto Parts
Question: How much were those NGK Blues at inline4?
