Well I was gapping my CP rings and 1 of the bottom compression rings snapped. My question, do I have to use a CP ring as a replacement or is there another type I could use? THanks.

 

You dont need to use a CP ring. They are all an industry standard as far as sizing goes.

 

I would use a cp ring so they are all the same. You will have to buy one piston ring set which goes for about 20 bucks. I broke one of those rings to while assembling mine. PM Earl, he can hook you up.

 

CP Cast 2nd Rings are the most weaksauce thing I've ever seen...

I broke 2 of them...and I've never broken any other kind.

They are incredibly brittle, so don't feel bad about it.
