questions about turbo for d16y8!! please L00K and HELP!!
i have a 2000 ex.. i also bought a garret t3 super 60 turbo off ebay.
the turbo is from a dealer in florida and came new with: garret t3 super 60 turbo(internal gate), stainless exhaust manifold, BOV , fuel pressure regulator, down pipe.. and that its.. the question at hand is what will i need to get this turbo in my car and runnning.. (besides the pipping and intercooler)
i plan to run low boost 6 or 7LBs untill i can afford new pistons rings rods for my other block and switch the current motor with that one.. will i need to upgrade the computer.. injectors if i run that low amount of boost? i am thinking about getting the Apexi VAFC is this a good investment or waste of money? any suggestions and or advice would be a big help!!!

here is what you have to do.. is your motor Vtec? If yes then buy the Vafc, it a good investment better than that cheap FMU crap if you plan to run just 6-7psi of boost.. Next buy some injector for the car + the injector clip so you can wired up for the 2000 Ex model, which is Obd2....
Then go to ebay buy 1 of those 255lph fuel pump and then swap out you old fuel pump..
After that, if you get everything from the manifold, turbo, downpipe, intercooler, piping , blow off valve, fuel injector, fuel pump, Vafc... Hook everything up, hook all vacuum up and for the Vafc, hook it up like the manual said; go into it and set all seting as it suppost to be, remeber sensor mode in Vafc should be 06in 06 out.. Then set all low and high throttle to -40 so the map wont see boost, and then last but not least tune it from there to see how it runs.. -40 should run 6-7psi around town without any trouble...
