ZIF SOCKETS FOR HONDA ECU?!?! Looking to socket my ECU
where do you guys get suitable sized ZIF sockets placing chips in and out of the ECU easily? I have a ZIF socket for my ECU but although it is the right number of pins it is too big for the PCB. surely people do not solder in and solder out a chip everytime they burn a new one? OR is there another method I do not know of...
any help would be great

did you have difficulty fitting it on the PCB? It looks too big to fit in place of the exsisting chip, it kind of over hangs and nudges other components? can someone show me a picture of their socketed ECU if possible. Much appreciated

i used the low profile one, in my case i ended up moving a transistor, but most people did not have to.

i got a 28 pin blue one from progshop.com but not sure if its low profile. I may just move the transistor then.
The low-profile one from Moates looks just like the ones a friend got from Jameco. Those do clear the pressure sensor without having to stack up the adapter sockets and cutting the casing.
