howdo i knwo if i need a new timing belt
hi i have a 00grs with 78k on it i have the parts wich covers the timing belt off and i can grab the side of the timing belt and there is play in the belt i can move it back and forth a little is that bad?

i have the same play on my crx and it runs fine. I have a 99 Si and it's recomended to change it at 100k by the dealers manual so i assume you are pretty close to that interval w/ the b series motor

What manual is this ? The Honda manual recommends you change it every 60k. You could look at your timing belt and see what condtion it is in, but even if it looked fine I would still change it.
