Default Turbo wheel trim question

I have a turbonetics T3/T04b with a .48 stage 3 exhaust wheel. Can anyone explain in a few words how the different turbine stages affect the turbo itself. Like what would it do if I had stage 1 instead?

Anybody. Is that a good turbo by the way? Cuz Turbonetics has poor customer support.

I was told I could boost all the way to 400 hp. Do you think that's possible with that turbo?

It is possible, but you need to be a bit more specific as to the nature of your setup. If it is an LS motor, you should be more than fine, though 400hp would be a bit extreme. I can help you out w/ Precision if you so choose or ATP or even Innovative. There are plenty of alternatives besides turbonetics that one can use
