Throwout/release bearing has been but there is still a squeking noise.............
OK, so I take my car to the dealership tp get my release bearing replaced because it has a squeaking noise coming from the engine bay and whenever I put my foot on the clutch the noise goes away. lol, and you guessed it the annoying *** noise is still there and only goes away when i put my foot on the clutch.
Any responses or comments/suggestions will be helpful. Thanks.

It must be something inside the transmission then. When the car is running the transmission input shaft is always spinning while the clutch is engaged, even while in neutral. When you disengage the clutch the input shaft stops spinning (if the car is not moving) so it must be a problem inside somewhere.

I just spoke to somone at my work and he said it could be your alternater belt because your idle changes when you press the clutch in. I dunno :sigh: I got an appointment with the on monday morning... I guess we shall see what happens.

If your refering to the noise and whether it goes away when i fully disengage or just press it lightly, your answer, is Lightly. Just by simply resting my foot on the clutch the noise goes away.

</TD></TR></TABLE>If you just show them the noise & tell em to fix it, it doesn't matter. But here goes (for other people with noisy clutches out of warranty...)
The question was whether it's your throw-out bearing or your tranny. Usually a loose rattling t-o bearing gets quiet right away if you simply press the pedal down just a bit, like you're taking up the slack in the pedal but not pressing it down.
If it keeps making noise until you press the pedal all the way down, then it's more likely a bearing in the tranny.
Another way is press the pedal all the way down suddenly & quickly. A loose t-o bearing gets quiet instantly. The tranny shaft takes a couple seconds to coast to a stop.
edit...

Not trying to resurect this thread or anything but I got the problem fixed yestorday and did not want to remake another thread.
I took my car back to the dealership for the third time and had the tranny opened up for the second time the technician replaced the throwout/ release bearing once again and thourghly lubed it up. He said that even though he had already replaced the T/O bearing it ran outta lube for some reason.
Cliff notes: For all you people out there with a loud or quiet squeaking noise when the engine is running and the clutch is engaged, get the T/O bearing replaced or Lubed up

If you put the clutch in and it goes away, it's most likely a bearing in the tranny. Mine ended up being the main counter-shaft bearing.

yup, sound like you have a main shaft bearing problem
i've been thru this many times, its a common problem
