Water in Left tail light of 89 CRX

Water in Left tail light of 89 CRX
Is this a usual prob with CRX's? I stored my rex for the winter and when I took the cover off it the left tail light was half way filled with water....Right one was fine.
Is there an easy fix? seal the light? Or drill a small hole in the bottom or something?

Don't try to seal the light, you'll most likely make a mess and it'll still leak... I drilled 5 small holes in the bottom of the taillight housing, worked like a charm and my spare tire well doesnt fill with rainwater anymore.

yeah the soft foam seal that is on the back of the light usually leaks when they get old. Mine did on my JDM set and I drilled a few holes in them to drain the water
