my upper control arm is rubbing against the inner fender wall... or its the part of the body... when you see the pic, you will know what i mean.
can i just shave off the marked piece?
will it effect the control arm in any way?

Looks really minor piece/area, I dont think it would affect the control arm in any way.

When I put in my ingalls kit on my 91 teg (its just a camber kit not the control arm) I had to shave the stock arms off I believe on both sides; I think youll be fine. My stock ones are at least

I wouldn't mess with that, the metal is curved out like that to help increase stiffness and rigidity of the control arm.

I personally can't picture where you're talking about that it's hitting. I don't remember that part of the arm being anywhere near any part of the sheetmetal shock tower or frame.

This is EXACTLY right... The roll is the only thing keeping that controll arm from bending... If you do shave it, you may need to do some custom fab work to add some strength back to it...

Well, the fact that the stamped arm has a C-shape cross-section is what gives it most of it's rigidity, while the rolled edge just adds a little more strength. But yeah if you take away the edge there's a possibility that a crack might develop on the sides of the arm.

If that's rubbing, then obviously, there's something wrong. Fix that instead of shaving the UCA.

When the rubber on my ingalls kit was destroyed, the UCA was very close to rubbing on the same spot. I replaced it with an ingalls poly kit and the problem was solved. Also make sure the adjustment on your ingalls (per arm) is even.

well this guy did the same thing what i want to do.
and my ingalls are relatively new. 6 months old.
i heard some one else had the same problem as i do and they shaved the arm, but it was in a del sol.
the adjustment per arm is even as i did the allignment, so it cant be not even, unless the guy messed up.
but i just finished shaving it.
i will let you know how is it after i put it in.
this is what it looks like shaved

...just double checking -- are the control arms on their correct sides? They are mirrored, left and right, but not the same...

If he got one on the wrong side, the caster reading would be WAY WAY off and the spindle would be severly tilted backwards.

Groove_D, I gotta question, I was wondering if you would have the original bolts that u had replaced with the ingal kit?

I have some cheap generic camber kit in my car and it broke twice ( I think I have something like anchor bolt) and for now I rather put the stock one back untill I gather some money for a different kit, would you still have urs by chance and maybe I could buy them from you??

Please let me know asap.

Thankyou much
