Prospeed Header installed
ok, after a ton of problems i finally got the damn thing installed.
it took a lot of work and still has more work to come. here is what i had to be done/has to be done to make this fit an SH. it is fitted on an H22a/a1.
leingthen after (downwards) the collector to stop it from rubbing on the oil pan.
adjust it so that when leigthened it wont rub on the side (could be due to my own fault, not really sure. i tried welding it myself and had never done it before.)
for a base model leave the DP the same leingth. for an SH extend it about 4 inches. have the exhaust/customizing shop do that.
pull out drivers side fan to get it in, then re install it.
clears AC and cross member.
as it is now running open header it is loud as ****! sounds like a camaro SS running straight pipes if not worse. once i get it all hooked up to the exhaust it should be better. but right now OMFG is it sweet!
should fit a 4th gen no problem as far as i can tell.
Special thanks goes out to Adam at VAcustoms (www.vacustoms.com) for dropping his work to help me out when he had never even met me before!

there is a downpipe that attaches to that. extends it out to stock location for a base model.

its not the easiest thats for sure, but it can be done. just have to go old school and use a open end wrench.

no i have to say worse because the 2 mile drive home last night from the shop gave me a splitting headache all night. well, that and doing a couple 80 mph WOT runs for Kendall and Peter didnt help any. but tomorrow i have to find an exhaust shop to bend that pipe a bit more and then measure the rest out and weld another pece on there. so more money into this project that i didnt expect to spend.

it wasnt originally designed for the lude. it was originally made for H22 swaps into Civic's.

ya. i'm just gonna get a full-race manifold. and all the rest of the parts that go too prolly. ;]
Shakes: if you know anyone in the area that wants a jdm h22 head. complete and in very good conditoin. w/ intake manifold, tb, sensors and all. let me know.

Awesome header...but why does the last pic of the collector seem to be only like 2" max when you'd think it'd be a bit larger? Either way, nice job squeezing it a 5th gen.
btw, Is Prospeed in Va?
