No, the Si is 1.6L and the DX is 1.5L.

And what 88-91 DX model came with a 1.6L?

i think the only dx's that came with 1.6's were the 96+ or it could be the 92+'s also

Being that this is posted in the EF forum and he's talking about a CRX Si, it can be infered that he is talking about 88-91 motors.

Blocks are NOT the same. They have different cranks, rods, pistons. Not sure if you can swap the parts though.

NO! nothing in the bottom end of a 1.5 and 1.6 are able to be swapped but the pistons..that is all...rods, crank..there both different...the crank has smaller main journals on the 1.5 and the rod ends are smaller in the 1.5 also.

Pistons cannot be swapped...d15 pistons have a 3mm lower wrist pin location meaning that if they are put in a d16 block they will bang into the head and bend all the rods!

actually the dx pistons (pm3) can be used in the 1.6 block..they will bump your compression into the 12's and stick out of the block about 1mm. Dont ask how i kno

The 1.5L rods are 134MM and the 1.6 rods are 137mm, and the wrist pin location on the 1.5L pistons is 3mm LOWER. So...unless you are using two headgaskets then your pistons should be hitting your head...or maybe they are and you just dont know it

Does anyone have shelf pistons for the D15 (DX motor) as well as aftermarket rods?

Seems they are only available for the D16

If you do the math and figure out deck height for a 1.6 with 1.6 rods and the dx pistons...it will come to -0.03937(aka 1mm out of the bore).

Im running an a6 block with dx pistons and a z6 head, a6 headgasket...been clayed and has no issue with valve clearence or "hitting the head".

What do you want me to read? I'm not sifting through 7 pages.

Interesting information nonetheless...The A6 head gasket is apparently 1.21mm...so I guess that would work... With a Y8 gasket however, your pistons would be slapping the head. But damn... .21mm of clearance...thats pushing it
