Clutch problem, Please Help
I have a '95 GSR with about 112k miles on it, and the clutch seems to be going out. It's very difficult to shift while driving, but when stopped or in very low rpms it seems fine. I just changed the fluid today with the Honda manual transmission fluid, and tried bleeding the clutch afterward, and it didn't help. It seems as though the clutch is not completely disengaging. When coming to a stop with the car in gear and the clutch pedal on the floor, it sometimes lurches just a little like it's going to stall. Also, my gas mileage has dropped dramatically. My best guesses are:
master/ slave cylinder is going out;
pressure plate is fu**ed;
or, after having 2 previous women owners... the whole clutch is just gone to *****
I appreciate any ideas/suggestions

The first thing is to make sure all the air's bled out of the hydraulics. Sounds like you already did that, but maybe you didn't bleed it enough to get ALL the air?
A bad clutch master can leak down, letting the clutch engage while you're holding the pedal down. Get the car all warmed up from driving, but don't leave it running. Go to the slave cylinder, take off that rubber boot so you can see the throw-out fork. Have someone press down the clutch pedal & hold it down while you watch the T-O fork. If the MC is going bad, the fork will very slowly move back towards the slave cylinder. (A bad slave cylinder might do the same thing; but you'd see fluid leaking right there if it's the slave.)
If all that's good, then you have to look at the clutch disk or pressure plate. If the disk is geting thin, maybe it can warp & drag before it starts slipping.

thanks man, you were right. I took it to a clutch specialist today and he checked it out and said it was probably the pressure plate and/or disc. they said they'd do the labor on replacing the clutch for $325 is this a good price? and what kind of clutch should I get? my car is a daily-driven and lightly autocrossed, and I need something that will give me longevity and some performance for not too much $$$. Suggestions?

the action kevlar kits are good.. theres HUGE thread on here about clutches. search for it and read it. many people enjoy the action kits... i recently replaced my clutch with a "stock" set-up. but looking back i wihs i knew about the action kits because i wanted a kevlar disc.
