i have a 2000 civic ex, and recently put a b18c gsr motor in it. the problem i'm having is about 5000 rpm's, through to 6000, there seems to be a misfiring problem, i'm guessing. i first noticed after i was really low on gas, on e. i heard the noise, thinking i was running out of gas. i feel dumb, because its really hard to explain, and its probably something simple. After trying to determine what the noise was today, at 5000 rpm, the noise was really rapid, and the check engine light came on. if anyone has any insight, i'll try and explain it better, but any help would be really appreciated.

please, if you want your problem to be troubleshooted you need more info like...what the code is....(sarcasm)
could be plenty of things..but the cel will narrow it down.
could be fuel sys., tps, dizzy, and more.

 

its called vtec its suppose to do that hehe
