Default Suspension Question...Need some advice

I have a 00 EJ8/Ex dropped with H&R Sport springs and tokico blues, spoon front upper strut bar, SRR sway kit. I'm not sure if its because im not used to the sway kit, but since i put it on it almost feels like my rear might step out. I was wondering if this is a good step up and its just in my head or i should get something else to neutralize the rear sway. Thanks a lot

If it feels too loose try getting an upgraded front sway bar.

Attend a driving school before you die.

In the meantime, lower your rear tire pressure 2-3psi, and don't let off the throttle on corner entry or mid corner.

Yes, a thicker front bar will promote understeer. The problem becomes determining how thick is just right. Since I am not familiar with suspension tuning and fornt swaybars on Ex's, I'll stop talking now.

But play around with the tire pressures and that might alleviate the problem for now. +2 front, -3 rear.

i've been told that when you stiffen up your rear with a bigger swaybar like the way you did, your back will tend to want to step out so it might not be in your head. you might want to upgrade your front swaybar also, that might help. btw how big is your rear swaybar?

Oversteer and understeer aren't all or nothing. You NEED a little understeer on corner entry. It's not always a bad thing. Especially if you're just getting started, I think your car should be neutral or tipped more towards understeer rather than being loose and drifting in all the corners. You need a little more stability so get a thicker front swaybar. Since your rear is only 19mm, I would shoot for about 22mm up front. I don't know what your current front bar diameter is. The GSR is 24, so maybe check what a LS front bar is.

Other thing you can do is reduce your front camber or add to the rear. I don't know what your setup is, but try an equal amount of camber front and back. That should help stabilize the car some.
