does anyone know the actual stock wheel horse power and wheel torque for a jdm h22a4? just wondering cuz i know the hp to the fly is 200 but im tryin to compare my mods after the dyno to the stock whp and trq. thanx.

there's no such thing as a JDM H22A4. an H22A4 is USDM by definition. It should pull about 160whp and 140wtq.

 

well now im dissapointed with my power but thanx for the info. i have 186 and i have intake, exhaust, header, pulley, msd wires/plugs, fuel pressure regulator/gauge, vtec controller, 68 mm throttle body, and dynoed with my power steering off. is that about right? but after i get my intake manifold in a week im gonna start getting internals. plus i can beat s2000's and **** so i guess it's all good. and my car was made in japan not america.

ok 85% of hondas are made in AMERICA not japan. mine was made in japan i know it was so dont worry about it. and i know it's an h22a4 cuz it says it right thier on the damn block. and yes i got my vafc tuned it moved my power about 5hp up and they set my vtec at 4400 cuz it was kickin in so damn hard my wheels would chirp or spin sometimes when i hit vtec. and oh yeah you said earlier in a topic that gsr's have steel sleeves. all hondas have aluminum sleeves i thought.

1. what do you mean it was made in Japan? All preludes were made in Japan. If your engine code is H22a4 somebody lied to you man , that's a US Spec motor.
2. most 5th gens will get 180whp and 140wtq with I/H/E Pullies and V-AFC tuning.
3. did you tune the v-afc?

sorry man, we look at reality, i only make 145whp with 120 or so tq, and this is with an intake, headers and exhaust on an AUTO 5TH GEN H22A4 (USDM) motor.

Shakes made like 175 or somewhere around there with other things (not much), search for this.
Even if i had the mugen or SMSP with vafc, hardly hitting 190 whp; i'd still wouldn't blabber my *** out. And beating an s2k, hmmm

it is possible to beat s2k actually i dunnno preludes are heavy my friend beat an s2k in his 99 Si with I/H/E but yeah mods really dont add big numbers like most expect but the mods do help

All Preludes = Made in Japan 100%


4400 VTEC = no power let's see your graph there cool guy

GS-Rs have steel sleeves, H22a's have FRM sleeves.
