? about axle peices...
my question is can the outmost part of the axle (part that goes into the hub) be swapped between abs and non-abs models? i ask becuz i f*cked up my inboard joint and bought a set of jdm axles that dont have abs. could i take off the outboard joint which is abs and put it on the non-abs so i can keep abs? my guess would be yes but i just wanted a second opinion. TIA
but we have monsoons and when you "rollin" with azenis' things get pretty scary when its wet... just want to know im the outer joints are interchangeable...
Yeah; as long as its a VTEC Driveshaft (there different thicknesses of the mainshaft) thenyou shouldnthaveanyissues,
you remove the metal clips on the boot of the outer section, slide the boot out of the way and just pull the outer TJ (Tripod-Joint) out. Its held in by a 'C' clip in a recess on the splined section of the driveshaft that goes into the outer joint.
I built a good driveshaft with good boots and actual shaft from my old left Driveshaft and the good inner joint bearings and case from the replacement I bought (the boots looked on their last legs so I mix'ed and matched parts to get a good combi)

The important thing to remember here is that your outboard joint has a large brass gear pressed in it to indicate when the wheel does not turn. So if you keep that there, then ther eis no problem (as long as your shaft is the same length).
