Seems he did and didn't find anything...as did I. I tried both recent and archived.
Anyway, it does sound like a "neat" idea but it doesn't look like it's beefy enough to take the abuse......

It looks like it bolts together with "straps"...doesn't seem like a really "race worthy" part....
Edit: Sorry, had to fix image link...

That kinda sucks. It did look like a good idea....
BUT doesn't this almost equate to welding the axles together?

it doest have the best rep, however there are some high HP cars on this board that use them with good success. I'm sure you can find some info in the drag racing forum about this.
Its a clutch type lsd, while a quaife is a gear type lsd. Its like comparing apples and oranges Quaife comes with lifetime warranty does phantom? I would go with quaife if your thinking of make serious power later. Why tear apart tranny twice when you can do it first time right. If you dont mind pulling tranny out and replacing when they go back they by all means get phantom...because they will not last as long. Quaife should outlast the tranny from what my tranny guy said. I got a quaife and i can't wait to get my tranny back in my car now.

as is most products that don't cost a million dollars on this board. truth is, it does what it says, gives u grip in a straight line... if u auto-x... look elsewhere... if u race at the track/street races, try it along with the upgraded spring... as with everything in life, u get what u pay for... so don't expect the world from this product

Everyone i hear from that has it says it works just the same as everything else. They couldnt tell any differences. But they did say they would still rather have the quaife for reliability reasons. Cybernation Motorsports tested a bunch of different LSD's and said that the phantom grip peformed just as good or better than the competitors. But im guessing if you have considerable power and torque your probably gonna be better off with the quaife. If your a racer on a budget, with ok power, go phantom. whatever fits your budget.

Those "straps" are to hold it togather BEFORE installation, if you remove the straps before its inside the differential, good luck getting it in there, its not impossible, but the straps make install a breeze.
As far as how good the unit is, its basically a spring block, but has no clutches, so it wears out the differential housing quickly, OPM makes a decent phantom grip style unit that has clutches, but also requires a core diff for minor machining.
