mods for my 98 GSR
Hi i have a 98 integra gsr and it's totally stock. In the future i plan on doing i/h/e and maybe something else. But in the near future i plan on doing an AME v2 cold air. I was just wondering how much hp i will gain for just this mod alone, and will i be able to feel the difference? thx.

I would go w/ the comptech icebox instead of an aem cold air intake. You get the cold air from the icebox, plus the good throttle response from having a short ram.
For the money, I don't think the V2 intake is worth it. Stick with the basics to begin with. I'd start with suspension, then an ITR lip, then work on i/h/e.
you would definately be able to feel the difference : IN YOUR EARS.
it would make the car louder, which might give the illusion of going faster. As it actually making hp, i'm sure it does, but 2-3 whp isn't very noticable.
Also, you said I/h/e is what you'd like to modify. Isn't an AEM CAI v2 part of the I part of that equation?
good luck

E-Bay intakes =
IMO
Just get a good filter, slap it on there, and that's how I've been going. Usually the fitment is excellent, I've only heard about one or two problems.

i want good power throught the power band but i really don't want to sacrifice power over 6500 RPM. I was thinking of maybe a turbo but i hear it's bad to do a turbo on a gsr do to the high compression ratio? i also was reading about the jackson super charger..... it seems good as well
just to let you know, you are going to get a lot of flak from people because you are a noob, but to avoid that, just search, because there is so much information on this site and sites like it you really would never even have to post
Sit down and really plan out exactly what you want to do with your car. Think about whether you want to keep it just for daily driving, or whether you would like to participate in drag racing or autocrossing.
If your fortunate enough, drive or at least ride in other people's cars that have different mods. And play within your means. Making hondas fast is relatively inexpensive, but most of us are students that aren't making too much. So don't get in over your head and max out credit cards.
Lastly, research, search, research. I've met great knowledgable people here on honda-tech, and there's a world we can learn from each other. This is a great resource if you know how to use it.
Good luck
