Igniton Timing Stumped...
Im just wondering if i should try to do it myself or get it professionally done.I really dont want to get it towed to a shop and dont have the money let me know if you guys now any tricks. Thx alot
Sorry now it dont run . I just finished my z6 swap in my 88 std hatch it hasnt ran yet i know i wasnt getting spark i think it was from my old integra ecu i had but i got a new one. I need to know how to get my car running and how to go about the ignition timing.
are you getting fuel? did you check your grounds? did you check your grounds again? have you checked your fuses? get the simple stuff done before you start checking some of the bigger things. what have you replaced? rotor, dist. cap? might end up needing to do an ignition coil test. try not to take it to anyone. you will probably find the problem yourself if you go through it step by step and do a little searching. try the terms like "no spark" or something to that extent. you should get a lot of different things to check for. good luck.
I checked all that everything is fine what i want to know is HOW to do the distributetr timing i want to know if i can do it myself or should i take it somewhere.

If you have no spark... you'll just be wasting your time by trying to set the timing. It has nothing to do with why your car won't start. Figure out why your car has no spark, then worry about the timing.
