check dist. cap and rotor, plug wires. maybe a bad tank of gas. i'm having similiar problems with my teg. it'll die or bog hard after it has started. did a tune-up and now have to run through 25 bucks of gas. kinda pisses me off.
but why wold it start so perfect
and then just die
.................then if u leave the car alone ........starts up perfect again
one of my friends said it was the module in the dizzy

I came here to ask about the same damn problem! I'll just post in here instead of making a new topic: Here's the description of the almost same damn problem:
My 97 Honda CRV had a code in it for a little while, some shop said it was a distributer code (bullshit.) The thing would start dying at random while idling. I finally got around to scanning the ecm myself, and it was no TDC sensor signal. I replaced the sensor, the code still came back. Time to check wiring. So at this point I'm clueless. It sounded like a clogged fuel filter, so I replaced that. Still no go. Right after it dies while idling, it's hard to start it back up again. Is the problem with that sensor signal, or is the problem unrelated? Thanks much

when the ignittor gets hot from running its circut breaks down and then it dies. then you let it cool off for a bit it will run again. i have some old ones laying around. this happens on alot of hondas.

sometimes even cold start it would start up ok and when I put it in drive with a little gas it would die. I would have to wait a few minutes before I restart. Then it would stay running. When it dies I have no warnings and no signs. I know when it is a warm day I would have more problems. These few days was cool. So it didn't happen that much.
Two things may be responsible for the stall. One. the ignition switch-wiggle the key and the wires at the back of the switch to see if will stall. Two, the main relay behind the right kick panel just above the PCM. I've seen alot of CRV's have problems with those two things the most.
It sounds like the same problem some g2 integras have. I think their problem is with the main pgm-fi relay. That relay shuts down the fuel pump. It would pretty simple to listen to see if the pumps energizes when the key is turned on.
If it is a bad relay, they might just need the contacts cleaned. They turn black from arcing when turned on/off over time.
