DIFFERENCE BETWEEN B18A1 HEAD AND B18B1 HEAD??
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO HEADS? I KNOW THAT THE B18A1 HEAD HAS TEN HORESPOWER LESS THAN THE B18B1 HEAD. MAYBE JUST THE CAMS? NOT SURE

90-93 is the B18A. 94-01 Is the B18B.
That makes 90-91 OBD0
92-95 OBDI
96-99 OBDIIa
00-01 OBDIIb
As far as the head differences, yes, cam specs are different. There are also variations in the PCV system. on the OBDII systems, the PCV is at the top of the valve cover. On OBDI B18A/B engines, the PCV is at the back of the block in a black sqaure looking can.
Which is better? Well, I have no specific information on either, so I can't make any conclusion on that.
Anyways, just the head itself probably didn't make the 10 hp increase in the B18B.
Even though the engines are identical, there are still small variables that could all together change the HP.
What makes you curious about this anyways ?

One of the main factors why the B1 head makes more power is the better atomization of fuel due to the different angle of the fuel injectors.
I HAVE A B18B1 IN MY CAR RIGHT NOW THATS ABOUT TO BLOW, AND I HAVE A B18A1 THAT I;M BUILDING. I HAVE CROWER STAGE 1 CAMS, CROWER STANILESS STEEL VALVES, AND CROWER DUAL VAVLE SPRINGS AND RETANIERS. I WASN'T SURE WHICH HEAD I SHOULD REBUILD?

If you are already rebuilding the A, then I say go for it.... and you have a caps lock key... please press it once.

The head can make a big difference to the motor. The block on a D16A1 and integra ZC are identical, but they differ by the heads (and possibly ECU). The ZC makes 12 more hp than the D16A1 (blacktop) all becasue of a better head.

You don't have to be a dick. I asked a simple question, that required a simple answer. I thought we were here to help everyone out, not talk ****.

No they aren't, they are a different casting.
B18B ports are slightly larger than B18A ports. Nothing to get too excited about, though. That is the difference with the bare heads themselves.
B18B cams (both) are slightly more aggressive than the B18A cams.
B18B IM has slightly larger runners than the B18A IM. Runner length is approximately the same, I believe the plenum size is more or less the same as well.
No real advantage to using a b18b head over a b18a head if you are porting.

Here's a tech tip for you:
1. Look down at your keyboard
2. Depress the fourth key down, far left side of keyboard
