I have a 1988 honda Accord I was having some problems with it like the Engine light coming on and and it wasnt starting when hot. The other day I went to start it and it just kep turning over. Hasnt stated since then Checked the coil an plugs. Checked plug wires one at a time so they went back on the same way Also I took the fuel hose off that goes to the engine an tried to start it no gas came out. Thinking it the fuel pump cause of that but wold like to get forum advice first before I spend money for mothing which I dont have much of these days And if someone could Please tell me when the fuel puml is I tired to find it from the pic in the Haynes book bu didnt see it . Is it in my tank

Check your fuses. Could be a blown fuse, bad main relay, amoung other things. Pull the code from the CEL if you know how, that info would help alot!

I am not very familiar with older accords, but your fuel pump should be in the gas tank. Try to take out the back seat and see if you can find an access cover.

 

Most likely a main fuel relay. cheaper and easier than trying a fuel pump.

 

i didnt see ignitor in your list of checks.... bad ignitor = no fuel injectors... but most likely if you turned it over with the fuel line open and didnt get fuel shooting out i would start with the main relay
