Comptech short ram....
Wanna get an ice box and was wonderin' if it is wise or better to get an AEM short ram and hook it to the box? On the site it says 200$ for a Comptec Short ram alone, I'm pretty sure the aem is less, and of course I have heard it flows better. Or should I just stick with the original setup??

i sell comptech goods all day every day all week every month and al year. if you actually by a comptech short ram intake for a gsr you will see that once you unpack it and inspect the tubing you won't want it. i am not knocking on comptech but they actually decrease the tube size right before the throttle body. this is a no-no if you are looking to achieve maximum flow. any bottleneck before the throttle body or after the header primary piping will cause a loss in power, how much, i can't tell you , but my suggestion is to stay with the stock intake arm and jsut buy the comptech drop in air filter that will work with the icebox and your stock intake arm.
hope that helps

there is not a really big difference between a aem cai and a comptech icebox the comptech icebox does a a lil more air flow though so it does do a lil bit more
like what some other people said..its not worth the money. i bought the ice box and the short ram recently and spent alot of $$$. i tried the ice box with the stock arm first and then i put in the short ram... better off just buying the ice box and the filter cuz the chrome intake arm is just for show i think...
